COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN
RULES AND PROTOCOLS FOR CLIENTS ATTENDING APPOINTMENTS AT BLACK RABBIT TATTOO
This outlines a list of rules and protocols which will be in effect upon reopening Black Rabbit Tattoo Studio mid-June 2020 for the safety of you and our artists during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Please Read this document before your appointment.
Booking a Tattoo
We now book by appointment only and no longer accept walk-ins.
Customer consultations will be done virtually/remotely/online to reduce unnecessary visits into the studio.
Deposits are mandatory before scheduling an appointment and will be taken via E-Transfer through your Artist.
Prior to Your Appointment
Your artist will email documents that you will need to digitally sign and email back before your appointment including:
Medical release form
Consultation/deposit agreement from
Covid-19 related medical form
Additional Engineering control information & guidelines.
Your artist will check in with you the morning prior to your appointment to ensure that you have completed a self-assessment questionnaire. If you answer YES to any of the following you will NOT be permitted into the studio:
1) Have you or anyone you have direct contact with tested positive for COVID-19?
2) Have you travelled outside of British Columbia within the past 14 days?
3) Do you have a fever, cough, running nose, or are experiencing fatigue?
In the event we need to reschedule your appointment due to illness, there will be no deposit penalty.
Please do not bring or invite guests or visitors with you. They will not be permitted in the studio.
Please limit personal items to a minimum. Only bring essential items with you to your appointment. Once your session is complete please remove all your belongings before exiting the Studio.
Food and drink are permitted but must be contained in a zip-lock bag or airtight container and stored in your personal belongings bin (bin will be provided upon entry). Access to food and drink will be limited to breaks and consumed only in the lobby area.
Upon Arrival at Your Appointment
Please call the studio, (604)-917-0262, to let your artist know you have arrived. Your artist will let you in when they are ready. While you wait, please maintain 2-meters distance from others around you.
Before entering the studio you will be asked to remove any P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment) of your own from home to prevent cross-contaminating the shop.
Once inside the studio, we have provided for your convenience and safety:
A guide and station to sanitize your hands thoroughly as soon as you enter the studio.
A packaged face mask to apply immediately (masks are mandatory in the studio after your hands have been sanitized) Disposable masks will be changed in the studio when moist or damp. This practice will ensure the masks are working in their optimum state.
You will be asked to put your personal belongings into a labelled plastic storage bin where they will stay for the remainder of your visit at the studio. These plastic bins will be sanitized between each use by your artist
Artist and Environment Safety Practices
The maximum capacity of the shop will be 4 people (2 artists, 2 clients) in the studio at any time.
There will be a minimum of two meters between all service/operational stations.
Your artist will be wearing P.P.E. covering their mouth, eyes, and body/clothing from potential contamination for the duration of your appointment. This includes, but is not limited to, gloves, gowns, masks, face shields or protective safety glasses, aprons & reusable gowns etc.
Ventilation will be increased in the studio.
The front door will remain closed for the duration of the workday to decrease airborne contamination within the studio.
Cleanliness and sanitation guidelines and procedure signage will be clearly marked throughout the studio, bathroom and procedure areas.
Social distancing areas of potential congestion will also be marked. As you move through the studio please be aware of your surroundings and others moving through the space.
We will be sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly, as well as have scheduled washroom cleaning.
Please note that we will be charging a small P.P.E. Fee to cover the cost of additional medical grade P.P.E. used for your appointment.
Please comply with our guidelines by maintaining frequent hand washing & sanitization while in the studio.
We have increased our Interac TAP options for your touchless transaction convenience. Please use the TAP option when available. Most TAP cards have a low limit. You may need to call your bank to allow for a larger TAP limit. We will continue to have access to card transactions through our terminal, but we ask you to sanitize your hands prior to and after use. Cash payments are discouraged, but will not be refused.

We will be contacting you soon to reschedule. Once we have finished preparing the studio for reopening and have received all our P.P.E. orders we will be able to start making calls to get you in!
